PaCE joins BiodivTransform kick-off

May 12, 2026 — The PaCE or “Peace and Conservation of Ecology at Disputed Seas” was launched during the Biodiversa+ BiodivTransform kick-off meeting at the Açores UNESCO Global Geopark last April 2026.

The new three-year research project is being led by Prof. Dr. Denise Margaret Matias from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development in Germany, in partnership with Leiden University College in the Netherlands and National Taiwan Ocean University

PaCE is among the 35 selected projects that emerged from a total of 269 submitted pre-proposals for the BiodivTransform call.
