PaCE’s first consortium meeting in Germany

August 28, 2026 — The PaCE consortium gathered in Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) in Germany from August 25 to 27, 2026 for its first in-person meeting to discuss project implementation strategies and activities. 

The meeting was attended by the Principal Investigators, namely Dr. Ting-Chun Kuo (National Taiwan Ocean University), Dr. Aisa Manlosa-Kirk (Leiden University College), and Prof. Dr. Denise Margaret Matias (HNEE as Lead Coordinator) together with other PaCE researchers based at HNEE, Lea Ivy Manzanero and Bryan Joel Mariano.  

PaCE will examine the interlinkages of geopolitical conflict, biodiversity conservation, and livelihoods in the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea.
